Robot!

This robot has been showing up in my sketches quite a bit. I thought it was about time I nailed down a finished version of him. I haven't really named him, I always just think of him as 'XM-13'. 'XM' being the military designation for 'Experimental Model'

Geisha

Link to the raw ink.
This was a request from a friend of mine. There were very specific elements that had to be included; the geisha, dragon back tattoo and cherry blossom imagery.ShareThis

our eyes met

If I had to pick a couple things I like about Seattle, it would be the coffee shops and artschool girls.I was downtown this weekend for Emerald City Comic Con and saw one such girl, an odd cap pulled down tight over the unruly curls of her brightly dyed hair. ...

Iron Golem

I slept, and dreamt of iron golems, the fires of their forging still dancing in their hollow eyes.
Upon waking I took up pen and tablet and worked feverishly to capture that vivid image.

I think I got pretty close.ShareThis

lunar explorer

Little doodle that got out of hand. Space girl!
I put in the stars using a couple different size scatter brushes and made them glow by duplicating the star layer, gaussian blurring it, then setting the blurred layer to linear dodge. Hooray photoshop.ShareThis

MECHASANDWICH

This drawing was inspired by a miscommunication. You see, I had heard the sentence "Make a sandwich" as "MECHAsandwich", and it was all downhill from there.
